It’s been a while since I updated my winter wardrobe (mainly because I try to escape the winter season) but this year I’m spending winter at home, so a winter clothes haul was well overdue.
With Christmas just around the corner and more and more events being added to my diary, I wanted to choose outfits that would look good for the evenings but also something that I could wear casually in the daytime too.
After browsing through their collections, I decided to choose 4 knit dresses and went for my 4 favourite colours. When it comes to clothing I’m all about; black, pink, mustard and grey.
I’m a huge fan of knitted sweaters and oversized clothing, but one thing I’ve never owned is a knitted oversized dress.
Here’s what the jumper-dresses looked like on….
I decided to style this oversized jumper dress with black tights and my favourite Dr Martin boots.
For anyone that knows me knows that mustard/yellow colours are my favourite right now. Literally my whole wardrobe is flooding in mustard – it’s a colour that looks good all year round. I just can’t get enough of it!
For me this jumper dress came up a bit short for me to not wear it with tights, but I think even if it was long enough to wear without I much prefer it with. The black and mustard colours just go so well together.
I absolutely love this jumper, I don’t think it’ll be hanging up in my wardrobe long before it comes out again!
Again, I wasn’t prepared to get my bare legs out and styled this bodycon with black tights.
I like the dress because although it is plain and simple, it’s also acceptable for the evenings. I’m thinking I might wear this for a Christmas party with some sparkly tights!
I expected this jumper to be more pink, but instead it’s much darker. However, I still love the colour. This jumper-dress makes such a good chill outfit. Perfect for those chilled afternoons with some hot choc! My favourite feature on this jumper has got to be the sleeves!
I think this one might be one of my favourite jumpers I’ve ever owned.
I lived in this jumper pretty much all week, it’s the cosiest thing in my wardrobe right now and as temps have dropped as low as -1c, it’s been all about cosy winter wear for me.
This dress works well with or without anything underneath it, and for me personally felt more like a dress than the others. I love the big neck on this dress – it’s super cuddly and not as tight like the others. It almost feels like you have a scarf on too! The only downside I found with this dress is the sleeves were a bit short for me (long arms!) so I would advise a size up than your usual size.
Here are my 4 jumper dresses which can be all found in the ‘Knit Dresses’ collection.
For me the jumper dress is such an easy item to style, that’s part of the reason I’m such a fan. For me it’s best served well lived in, teamed with a pair of thick black tights or skinny jeans and either a chic knee high boot or a classic leather loafer. The key is to keep it simple.
