Now we’re 6 months into 2018 and more bad than good has set place, the negatives can quite easily take over the positives in my mindset. Which is why, every month from now I’m writing down 5 positive things that have happened each month – as a reminder to myself that there are always things out there to be grateful for, even when it feels like there’s not.
Here are 5 positive things that have happened in June so far:
I finally moved out from my parents home! I’ve really enjoyed making a house a home and having my own little space is definitely the highlight.
I left pubs.
I planned on working in pubs for 6 months whilst studying at college, somehow that 6 months turned into 4 years. I now work as a Reablement Care Assistant. It feels so good to be learning again and to know that I am helping others.
Started university application.
As mentioned above, I put my future on hold by staying in a job that wasn’t really leading me anywhere. Now I’m turning the clock back to when I was 18 years old and guess what? I’m finally going to university. My 4 year gap year is over!
Having more ‘me’ time.
I’m loving having more me time! I’m trying to do more classes at my gym. So far this month I have taken part in Yoga, Pilates and Bodybalance.
Feeling my healthiest in 4 years.
I’ve been eating so much better this month, I guess that’s all down to having my own kitchen. For the first time in a long time I have actually been having 3 meals a day and a more Mediterranean diet. I’ve also been drinking more infused water which I maKe myself, trying out new flavours is definitely keeping me motivated to drinking more water too!
