5 Positive Things #7 – December

It’s the last ‘Positive Things’ post of the year, and also the last of the series. Thank you to everyone who has read this post every month! I have really enjoyed writing this series. It has made me realise how important it is to reflect and focus on the positive things. It has taught me that no matter how bad the month gets, through the crowds of negativity, is a sparkle of light.

Festive Feeling!

This year I decided it was time to get into the festive spirit early. I had a rubbish Christmas last year so had a lot of making up to do this year. I have really enjoyed all the festive treats, the gingerbread, the chocolate, the cake, you name it – I’ve eaten it! I have felt so much more positive about Christmas than ever before.

Social gatherings.

I love December because it’s all about celebrating the year with family and friends. A lot of my close friends at the moment have fled the country (I thought I was the one only allowed to do that!) but I have a couple who are coming home before Christmas, so I’m looking forward to lots of catch ups with them.

Working with brands again.

This month I worked with Femme Luxe on a blog post. I had so much fun creating and writing. I also have more brands who I am collaborating with in the new year.

Christmas yankee candles.

I think candles make an appearance on my positive things posts every month, but honestly they make me so happy! I purchased 3 smells this week and I’m loving having them lit in my home.

Helping others.

This month I have had the time to help out more. I love being able to help my family and friends out. Whether it’s cleaning for my parents and grandparents, helping a friend in crisis or having a long chat with a friend the other side of the world, knowing I have helped make a difference is very rewarding to me.

December so far has been a great month. Usually for me Christmas gets associated with the hardest month of the year due to work. But now I am in a job which doesn’t require working too much over the Christmas period. I feel like I can actually celebrate it rather than resent it!

I wish you all a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!
